M.A. in Communication Management, USC
Hi! I'm Katherine: freelance editor, writer, and staunch defender of the Oxford comma. I love working with words.
I cut my teeth in education: first running the Writing Workshop at Wesleyan University, where I got my bachelor's, and then teaching 7th grade in a school outside of Boston. When it became clear that writing was more my speed than chaperoning overnight field trips, I moved over to the school's marketing and communications department.
My fascination with the ins and outs of communications propelled me to get my master's in communication management from the University of Southern California.
Right now, I'm working in tech communication at USC, where I'm taking on social media, employee engagement, and program rollout communications. When I'm not at work, I am probably either reading or eating. Likely both at once.
Need an editor? Check out my freelance editorial business. I work with novelists, business authors, academics, and screenwriters to spruce up their writing.
"Katherine is the best. I had two other editors go through my manuscript, but no one was as thorough and insightful as Katherine was."
